Dusty Cartman can be found standing on the left side of the beach on Seadog Cove with a green exclamation point over his head every day to present a Daily Job of garbage gathering to the player.
Daily Job[]
When approached Dusty Cartman says:
- "Oi shrimp, I couldn't help but notice you're not repulsed by my disgusting stench..."
- ...Ever considered a career in refuse collection?"
- "I've been looking for an apprentice with a cast-iron constitution - or no sense of smell - to help me take out the trash."
- "Not like that, shrimpy! I mean actual trash! Rubbish! Litter! Garbage! I'll give you a Daily Job to gather garbage from nearby islands..."
- "For each day you complete a job, I'll give you a pay rise. If I'm feeling particularly generous, I'll throw in a little bonus!"
- "But if you miss a day, I'll have to reset your pay. Sorry, but that's how my incentive package works!"
Dusty Cartman then walks back a few a steps.
The Dusty Cartman is standing with a green exclamation point over his head again.
When approached Dusty Cartman says:
- "So, are you ready to turn trash into cash? Just keep your eyes peeled for Garbage Sacks on your travels..."
- "Collect them up, then bring them straight back here and deposit them in this here Trash Smasher. Nothing to it, shrimp.
- Two options appear with "Nope" and "Sure!"
If "Sure!" is selected then Dusty Cartman then the player receives a side-quest to dispose of garbage 29 times.
The allotted time to complete this daily job resets at 4am the following morning.
If approached before depositing all of the Garbage Sacks Dusty Cartman says:
- "Very nice of you to pay me a visit, but your Garbage Gathering work isn't done."
- "Find the remaining Garbage Sacks and then dump them into my faithful Trash Smasher."
On the second day when approached Dusty Cartman says:
- "Good to see you, shrimpy! Ready for another hard day's Garbage Gathering?"
- "Same shift, different day - hunt down the Garbage Sacks and feed them to the Trash Smasher. Trash, smash, cash!"
- Two options appear with "Nope" and "Sure!"
If "Sure!" is selected then Dusty Cartman then the player receives a side-quest to dispose of garbage 29 times.
Upon approaching Dusty Cartman after completing the Lighthouse Repairs Daily Job he says the same response as on the first day when the job was completed.
Reward[]
Upon returning to Dusty Cartman after completing the Daily Job he says:
- "All done! Now I can sleep easy knowing that the land is trash-free... Until tomorrow, anyway."
- "Here's your reward for a job well done. Don't forget to come back tomorrow if you want to make more moolah!"
The payment menu for Garbage Gathering then opens for the player to collect the payment for the Daily Job.
After the second day the greeting to initiate the Garbage Gathering Daily Job, and the response when completing it are the same as the second day's responses.
