Mortimer Woodchuck is first seen on Woodcutt Isle and is the second person seen after Rudolf Taleweaver requests the player to talk to him.
After the player helps Ranger Grainger find a Cowleaf Mortimer Woodchuck becomes available to talk to.
Introduction[]
The first thing Mortimer Woodchuck say when approached is:
- "Yer must be young <insert player's name>! Rudolf's told me all about yer. Me name's Mortimer."
- "Rebuilding Seabeard's gaff, eh? Just so 'appens I've got a bunch of materials going spare."
- "Tell yer what - you help me out and you can have 'em for nowt."
- "See I've got a fox problem - the little mosters keep stealing my supplies!"
- "Think you could give the foxes a right fright for me?"
Mortimer Woodchuck then sends you on quest to scare three Red Foxs.
If tapped on directly after this request he says:
- "Never scared a fox before? Just run up to them to frighten them away!"
After scaring three Red Foxs and returning to Mortimer Woodchuck with it he says:
- "Ah, champion job! Here's everything you need."
He will then give you the reward for the quest.
If the player does not have room to carry new items Mortimer Woodchuck will say:
- "Ah, you don't have room to collect your reward! Come back when you've got some room for new items."
After completing receiving the reward the player reaches Level 2 and unlocks a bunch of items. Mortimer Woodchuck then says:
- "Good luck getting Accordia back in shape!"
- "You should 'ead back there now - don't leave Rudolf waiting!"
Mortimer Woodchuck then assigns a quest to speak to Rudolf Taleweaver.
Mortimer Woodchuck occasionally offers to sell you rare items at the Woodcutter.
Side-Quest 1[]
Mortimer Woodchuck is located inside the Woodcutter at Larona Village.
When approached Mortimer Woodchuck says:
- "I'm supposed to deliver this order but I'm up to me neck in work."
- "Reckon you could take yourself and this crate to Larona Village?"
- Two options appear with "Nope" and "Sure!"
If "Sure!" is selected then Mortimer Woodchuck a side-quest appears to deliver some furniture to Larona Village.
When arriving at Larona Village the player needs to walk over to the mailbox in front of Town Hall.
Once the mailbox is tapped on the player has to drag the furniture bubble over to the mailbox.
Once the furniture is in the mailbox the player has to return back to Woodcutt Isle to talk to Mortimer Woodchuck.
Upon approaching Mortimer Woodchuck after delivering the furniture he says:
- "Smashing! Good effort <Insert player's name>!"
Mortimer Woodchuck then gives the player the reward for the side-quest.
Completing this side-quest also counts as helping another person.
If Mortimer Woodchuck is approached again at directly after delivering his letter he says the following before walking away:
- "Top work, top work indeed."
Side-Quest 2[]
Mortimer Woodchuck is located inside the Woodcutter at Larona Village.
When approached Mortimer Woodchuck says:
- "D'yer know what's great for getting yer creative juices flowing?"
- "Pancake. Honestly. Couldn't you fetch one or make on up for me, could yer?"
- Two options appear with "Nope" and "Sure!"
If "Sure!" is selected then Mortimer Woodchuck a side-quest appears to give him a pancake.
Upon approaching him with the pancake Mortimer Woodchuck says:
- "Any joy with that Pancake?"
- Two options appear with "Nope" and "Sure!"
If "Sure!" is selected then Mortimer Woodchuck says the following after the pancake is dragged over to him:
- "Smashing! Good effort <Insert player's name>!"
Mortimer Woodchuck then gives the player the reward for the side-quest.
Side-Quest 3[]
When approached Mortimer Woodchuck says:
- "My well inspiration's running a bit dry at the mo... Grab me a photo of an interesting Woodcutt Isle Map, would yer? Mebbe that'll do't trick."
- Two options appear with "Nope" and "Sure!"
If "Sure!" is selected then Mortimer Woodchuck then a side-quest appears to give him a photo of the Woodcutt Isle Map.
Upon approaching Mortimer Woodchuck with the photo of the Woodcutt Isle Map he says:
- "How're you gettin' on with that photo of Woodcutt Isle Map I asked for?"
- Two options appear with "Nope" and "Sure!"
If "Sure!" is selected then Mortimer Woodchuck then the player has to drag over the photo to him and he says if it is not good enough:
- "D'yer think I'm daft? There's no Woodcutt Isle Map in that photo!"
If it is good enough he says the following:
- "Smashing! Good effort <Insert player's name>!"
Mortimer Woodchuck then gives the player the reward for the side-quest.
If Mortimer Woodchuck is approached again at Woodcutt Isle after giving him the photo he says the following:
- "Top work, top work indeed."
