Thanks for all your work on the Seabeard Wiki! ^^ I started playing the game recently and I really love it! I decided to contribute to the wiki as well and reformatted a lot of the pages so it is easier to read!
Sorry I haven't been around much. Work as been kind of stressful the past couple of weeks and I've been trying to deal with more personal issues. I haven't really had much time or even the want to do much of anything with the games or rendering or much of anything really. With Summer hours starting next week things might change.
I know I am behind on the main quest story line since Doza.
I actually haven't had a chance to play the main story line past getting the islands open since I've been focusing more of my time when I can play and update the wiki on making sure I check all the shops for any items I may not have seen yet.
The good news is at my current level I think I've see and gotten information for all possible items I can obtain and most of the items which can be purchased on Whiseman Reef.
I am close to leveling up soon so more items should be arriving shortly if the game continues the same.
Hopefully soon I'll be able to find some more time to get to the main quest story line again and update information on it.
I find both Seabeard and DragonVale a lot of fun in their own ways.
Sorry I've been a little behind with the images. Been a busy week and then with the update I kind of got behind with the images since I've been playing as well as gathering them.
I was trying to redo my checklists to make it a little easier to see at a glance (and edit) which images we still need. In doing so I've come across at least one image file that needs renamed. File:ForestGuardHat.png should be File:ForestGuardsHat.png. I'll post if I come across anymore.
No problem. I haven't really played that much since it has taken awhile just to run through the locations and get new furniture and clothing up on the wiki; not to mention adding the code for the currency and badges (which we still need images for too).
I really just unlocked Doza in the main story line and haven't gotten back to it since.
I was just about to render images, mainly working on the clothing still since it is easier to render. I will probably work on the furniture when I'm pretty much caught up on the clothing. I should be getting a list together for the new Pet clothing items pretty soon, I don't think there's much to it and think I have most (if not all) of those images already.
I can render the egg currency, the carnival ticket currency, and the two new badges while I'm at it since I pulled those from the images I was cropping anyways. What should I name those? I think I have the clothing badge named PickAxe for now.
I should also be getting some of the new inventory items rendered and up shortly. They shouldn't take too long to render.
There has already been over 100 pages added to the wiki since the update, and while some of them are just furniture and clothing from before the update, most of them are items which came with the update.
There are still all the new land animals, birds, fish, fruit, recipes, etc. individual pages to make at some point.
Not to even get the buildings, islands, NPCs, new monsters, new monster drops, etc to add eventually.
I'm not sure when I'll really get back to the main story, but I'll get to at some point I guess, just like the pages.
Yeah. Though there doesn't seem to be a whole lot in terms of clothing that I can really render from Doza yet, seems like we need the miner for that.
But yeah, there is a lot of new content, this was a massive update it's no wonder it took all month for it to be released. I've been trying to get images as I go, making sure to catch new fish and such. I am not sure I'd be able to get the length of time it takes to sell since I have the island badges in place at max for everything but antiques.
Too bad the display buildings cost 4,000 coin each (making it 12,000 total for all three), could really use them to free up space in the warehouse.
I've uploaded the tokens, egg, and badge symbols. Still working on some of the other renders. I am hoping to have the accessories done tonight, within the next half hour to hour. Not sure how much time I'll have to work on them this weekend. I have to work tomorrow and then probably get some yard work done on Sunday if the weather stays nice.
If I get the accessories done sooner rather than later I'll work on some of the new inventory items.
Sounds good, I am hovering around 8,000 coins. I just took all of the extra Master Masks to the recycle thing and actually received 3,900 coins. Then been selling things. Still trying to get to the point (though it will take a while) when I can get the boat that holds three crew, all though other things might take precedence. I think I can tolerate the annoyance of having to keep switching my crew out when I need to for a little while. Doesn't help that some of the main quests require spending money without getting any for completing the quest.
I just finished rendering the disguises and will get them up shortly. I still have the pet items and there are a few things on my iPad still that I need to pull off and put where they need to go in my multitude of files for images. Trying to keep everything straight is proving difficult with this new update and all the new content, lol.
Seems so. The rock on Larona Village (the one to the right with the star above it) is where these are located. One of the Doza main quests require finding the Master of Disguises and purchasing a Doza Mask. I will get the information up for those in the next few minutes.
Okay, I think my clothing checklist is finally completely up as far as layout is concerned. This should make it a lot easier (especially for me) to see which images we still need. I know there will probably be some clothing items that I won't be able to get (mainly the Male captain only clothing). I nearly lost my original game last week and am not quite willing to risk it again right now.
I am going to attempt to make my furniture checklist have the same type of layout since it should be easier to tell at a glance what images are still needed.
The only thing now is not having everything included on my lists. They've basically just been what I've seen in my game so far, or what I've seen on in the images on the Wiki.
As for the images: I will try to get caught up with what I have so far (in the way of clothing and inventory items) this weekend, or with at least as much as I can. I think I've gotten enough done for tonight as it is getting late and I have to work tomorrow (not early, but it is still going to be at least 5 hours).
I was thinking it might be easier to layer what I can onto that than render everything. I will have to figure something else out for the other displays since they are not the same. I know some of the Pet furniture I will have to render and won't be able to layer.
Removing the display on those images would remove pieces of the object itself. I can try, and most would probably be okay, but the others would require guess work in fixing them after removing the display. I rendered the Mouse Pet Toy from the display and there is a part of the tail missing because it was overlaid by the display. I noticed the same thing on the Yarn Ball. Like I said, I can try but it will probably take me more time to render them without the display.
I'm not sure how go about some of the objects, some are so big when viewing them close up (with the info and everything) that they get cut off by the screen, usually the top part. I have them zoomed out but those might be too small. The Peach Parasol is one example of this.
This is just what I have images for (I haven't even begun to look at what has already been uploaded to the Wiki). I hope the "Needs Variable" section is easy enough to follow, there is a little more information needed than the clothing items. I will try to keep it up to date as I check try to check the game daily.
Some of the images I have are from before the Badges update so I will be on the look out for those items to fill those in. I also couldn't find a level for some of them (it is possible they are on the Levels page but I over looked them (even with using ctrl + f)).
I will try to work on rendering the images when I have more time. The clothing is just quicker and easier right now. Some of the objects (like lamps) seem to have two appearances... one during the day and one a night. Those that have more than one appearance will have the number of images in the "Image" column.
Now I am off to bed as my brain no longer wants to function, I started the checklist a couple hours ago and wanted to get it finished it at one time. I had more images than I originally thought, so it took longer than I thought it would to get the checklist up and functional.
Edit #3: One more thing, I wasn't sure of the sizes for most of the objects. I figure could probably base those off similar items. If I remember, I can check my game tomorrow sometime and make note. I do have some of the objects on my island so I can check the sizes on them.
Edit #4: (I am going to bed, eventually)... I looked through some of the images that were uploaded. I think some of the ones that I am missing Badge information for are uploaded to the wiki with that information in the image. I will try to work on those images tomorrow or Friday (since I am off on Friday I will have a little more time to work on things (while doing other things off-wiki that I need to do)).
I have since revamped my checklist. Hopefully this will help more. I will try to list what I come across on my checklist and anything that needs a variable for I will just post all the information I can on my list and you can pull it from there when you get the chance. I pulled the "Needs Variable" Section to the top for easier viewing on that. I will leave the name as a red link for easy navigation. Once it is no longer a red link, I (or someone) can move it to the proper section on that list. In the image section of the table I will either put "not rendered" or "rendered". If it says "rendered" it will be linked to the image.
Hopefully, this way you can use your judgement on what you want to create a variable and page for with the information you have. Also might be useful for anyone else who might want to edit the variables and add stuff.
Just so you know, I am not, nor have I ever been, upset with you over what happened. Misplaced frustration, maybe. I am still here and I still want to help where and when I can. I hope this checklist proves useful in the future. I can also create one for Furniture later on. But now I have to go. I will try to be on later (depending when I get home from work) to render images. I'll be on chat only if you are (you are the only reason I do anymore).
I created a checklist of shorts to keep track of which images we have and which we still need to get. It's just a rough list. I didn't have a chance to get to the clothing tonight (might work on that before I have to go into work since I don't go in till late). I have the Accessories done so far. I have also included a tab for those that still need a variable. I have also included the price (or a link to the original image I used to render) and a link to the png image file name. Hopefully this will help us keep track of images we have and still need. Feel free to edit when needed.
Oops... would help if I included that link for you, lol.
I updated my list. The ones that still need a variable are still listed in that tab, but each should have its page now. I don't have time right now to work on the variables. I may or may not be able to render tonight, since I don't get off work till later than usual this week (8pm CDT instead of 7pm)
I wasn't sure how you wanted to do the Adventure Hat so I left it alone. Other than that, any page that had already existed has been updated to include the box.
I noticed it between Captain and the rest of the Crew. The Left Eyepatch for example was different from my captain (female) and John and Etta (John and Etta being the same). I'll keep my eye out, but I think it might be a bit much, figure just get the initial ones first.
Hi, thank you for reaching out to me and wanting to help.
It would be great if you could upload images, preferably without words or characters blocking any of the furniture items; I don't think clothing would be an issue, but it would be best if from a store menu.
That way if someone decides to render or make the background disappear from around it then it will still show the full image of the furniture or clothing item.
